Gulch Cliffs Moonlight

Although I had finished drawing this scene before it got dark, it was quite disconcerting to be painting by moonlight! I used the lights I brought to see my paints and surface, but then I was blinded to the scenery before me, so my eyes needed time to adjust to darkness. The evening air also made my paints dry very slowly. This extra waiting time made we wonder what might be lurking in the dark. It was a relief to finish and be back safely at my camper.
